A Brown Stone's Perspective

Rough edges and grainy While sitting in this creature’s hands Analyzed and stared at I see his brown colored eyes twinkle As he stares at me through curiosity Wondering my origins Where did I come from? How did it I wind up here? Oh, the stories I could tell If only I could speak My revelations would be historic Telling all of you true stories since the dawn of mankind Even from the time of dinosaurs that walked the earth Magnify and mystify Unearthed by this human Some say the hearts of humans can turn into objects as hard as stone Like me, a hard-cold stone Claiming to be unbreakable and invincible However, I beg to differ Because even stones can crumble to pieces Eroded by water or wind And melted into nothing.
