A broken heart

My heart never heals
it lingers
from broken promises
broken dreams
my happiness went up and smoke
leaving loneliness
I put on a fake disguise
while searching
coping with deep agonizing pain
these emotional wounds
scratched open
watching lovers frolic in public
in time I hope to heal
move on
rebuild
till then
I seek to forgive myself
