A Broken Heart

A broken heart cannot be mended Neither can romance, once ended Send me not your reparations Your maudlin, miserable placations You played me for a fool, you did Let me down so cruel, you did Then you sent me gifts and notes Perchance you gloat at the catch in my throat You ran off with a shiny doll Who tells you now that you're her all When she finds out what she's seized She'll dump you just like you did me

Sweet how you twisted it from something that seemed a bit dour and sad to an upbeat, positive ending. What goes around....

Interesting comment... I myself wasn't so positive that it was positive. Positively yours, Gershon

Tee hee, reciting this in my mind chewing the first stanza, blowing up the second, and popping the third ;) in a teenage attitude kind of way. I love it even more today.
