A Broken Dream

I met with an angel on the way Dumbfounded by her beauty, a word, I couldn't say She felt like dew under moonlight Soothing was her smile, peace was her sight In white she had those invisible wings Purest of souls, finest of beings I followed her through the boulevard Tiptoed my way through, wandering like a lost lad She looked back and i couldn't hide anymore All glimpses felt short, I realized i wanted more I ran to her and she threw her wings around me Gone were my inhibitions, I felt light and drowsy I dozed off and woke up in a different world Where things were heavy and my soul felt furled A dream she was, a reality I am Dream of absolute hedonism, was her world in which i swam I will fall again in her inception Will pursue her to define this connection For I believe, it will no more be my thrashy bed But where I wake up, for once, will be her arms instead
