A Broad Reach


The wind slides across the sail,
not only an angular thrust, 
but a broad embrace of motion,
a wide reach of prime promise
that progress need not be a struggle,
and existential course can be covered
with faith in favorable invisible currents,
the natural drift of what one really is.

Leaning on the flow of moments
life is an art of sailing 
with what carries it forward,
the skilful insight of knowing
when to align with the possibility,
with the intent of efficient navigation, 
a shift from friction to surge, 
releasing the potent momentum of passion.
