A Breathless Pause

The perfect passion, fuelled by each pause
A place where nothing can really be lost
Another distance, another star gone
Even with nothing I know I belong

Pretty colours, lovely disease
Where overcoming just plants more trees
Dreaming angel, more waking rage
Where awakening love will salvage my days

The purest rainfall, as deadly as hate
Bested only by fearing the taste
The silence holds me, but I don’t mind
Expressing joy will absolve what’s inside

People empty, their hearts trapped in snow
Nothing lost with nothing to show
A poisoned answer, the question unknown
But survive the void and we can still grow

The perfect sunrise, the truest of nights
Spinning deeper with each inner fight
The purest darkness, dissolved by the light
A breathless pause that fills me with sight
