A Brain Awakes
A brain awakes
and sheds
five hundred pounds of sky.
The brain dreams-
it opens a door
walks through it,
grinds beans,
percolates coffee.
It realizes it is way too early.
Now it may or may not
slip back into a tar pit
on the far side
of the moon.
