A Bottle of Emotions

I have a hard time expressing myself letting friends know how I feel. I keep my emotions locked up tight; they are safer in a bottle. Once in a while the bottle will open slowly an emotion comes trickling through, but as you start to see the real me, I disguise it with a laugh. I'm afraid of getting hurt when I show my emotions, years of abuse; my feelings are tender. I am steadily learning how to let go of the past; it's the hardest thing I ever had to do. You are there for me as I am for you, a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on. We support each other in all that we do I couldn't have wished for a better friend. Nothing will erase the memories we made I will always cherish the good ones. Just like my love for you; they will never fade. Not once did I think it could have happened to me, but now I know I deserve to be loved; I thank God for giving you to me. We have our ongoing struggles, but they only make us stronger we can get through anything together; of that I have no doubt. 5/21/2016
