A Book of Self Help

I was lost in my disguise,
and it drowned me in my tears,
I blamed the world for my mistakes,
knowing it was me and all my fears.

I denied any self pain,
I didn't look for help of any kind,
I didn't realized before,
I didn't educate my mind.

When I came across a book,
known to be full of heart,
I read of love & self help,
my spirit rose and broke the chains apart.

The time spent by our God,
for all of us who are in need,
brings not anger, but love,
to dig up the evil seeds.

The ground was cursed with evil,
you can feel the chill in the breeze,
but the beauty of the earth unfolds,
and puts our minds at ease.

Then I found myself from within,
I opened a door to find,
I needed to repent in depth,
to have a life of a different kind.

Danger still lurked inside me,
from the temptation of the curse,
evil still haunts our souls,
but there's hope of a rebirth.

When you look around this world,
you can clearly see the faults from hell,
just open up your blinded eyes,
see what heartless actions of man can tell.

I tried to keep an open mind,
but the mind can play tricks on the heart,
feelings of a criminal mind,
only tore my life apart.

Then i found a way to live,
a life full of good intent,
by reading a book of God's word,
from the heavens it was sent.

The more i learn the word,
the more i feel God's grace,
His love is within our being,
on earth it's in every place.

Near the end of this world,
i will be prepared with no fears,
because i have faith in God,
i will rise, no more tears.

A new earth, stars, moon and sun,
all rejoicing in the presence of God,
for his mercy is second to none,
there's no denying that simple fact!!!
