A Blood Red Ruby:
Above all the gems in the world,
Before opals, diamonds, and pearls,
Lies in my heart the red ruby.
Overwhelmingly beautiful in its luster,
Only to be admired from afar.
Drawn into its magical hue am I.
Royalty decorating their crowns with it,
Entirely justified in doing so, as it
Dances majestically in the eyes of the beholder.
Red rubies are sort after by many, most
Unable to afford their possession,
But we can always dream of one day
Yielding such a prize in our collection of gems.
