A Blink of the Eye

Slowly,
yet carefully,
her eyes watched them go by.
Her life passed through,
in just a simple blink of the
eye.
Her children were gone,
away from the nest.
But, where oh where,
was the one who loved her best?
Is he away?
With girls falling to the ground?
Or just sitting there,
alone,
with just a frown.
Where oh where,
has her life go by?
Probably in the depth of the ocean,
with a tear by his eye.
