A Black Or White Star

Darkness and light.
Is it fearing the fight?
Living for a new day?
Love found in some magical way.

Learning to see.
The difference between you and me.
For differences there are.
A white or black star?

Hearts that grow cold
Minds that unfold
Trying our hardest to be?
Or is it just what’s expected of thee?

Feet on the ground.
Beauty found in soft shadows and sound
Blood pumps through our veins
Is life simply a smile from the eyes of the strange?

Those last two lines in the third stanza are my favorite in this enigmatic write, Mr Poet.
