A Bird's Eye View of What I Desire

No more battles with the birds,
When a strawberry I desire,
No more pulling out the weeds,
And replacing them with wire,
Pushed flat by the smarter birds,
To get what they desire.

Now I laugh at the birds
As I watch the weeds grow higher,
So even the smarter birds,
No longer get the strawberries they so desire,
That are now hidden by the weeds,
Ready for me to pick whenever I desire.

No more birds,
No more wire,
I don't even have to worry about water restrictions,
As the weeds give the strawberries the water they desire,
With no wire, I now have funds,
To buy cream to make heavenly what I desire.

Glad you agree. Also think blueberries a close second but they sell at premium. We have few juicy blackberries in backyard at present. Made a small amount of jam. Thanks for reading my latest piece. I try to vary what I write. Hugs Back from Kiwiland.
