A Beltway World Series
Baltimore fans will not be popping a champagne cork.
The Orioles were defeated by the Yankees from New York.
Likewise, a World Series is not what Washington fans will see.
The St. Louis Cardinals trounced the Nationals from DC.
This year, a Beltway World Series will not be reality.
Once again, a Championship in the capital is a fantasy.
However, there is a great deal of optimism here.
After defeat, both teams must persevere.
The Orioles and Nationals look forward to next year.
