A Beautiful Portrait of You
Do you have any idea just how beautiful you are?
How beautiful are you to me?
No words in any language
Could aptly describe what it is I see
However I will try for clarity's sake
So that you may obtain a clue
Ok here goes, but I'm still not sure
The attempt I'll be making is true
Start with thoughts of lilacs
Beautiful to behold
Colors that are quiet
Quiet, yet innately bold
Now simply think of roses
Is it possible to view
The petals on their flowers
Without seeing beauty that's true?
Next time you spot a bluebird
See how graceful she gets about
Her gracefulness is effortless
That's her beauty standing out
For the sake of time I'll stop right here
But the idea I think you get
You're beautiful sweet Bluebird
Though full description's still not met
I've tried through lines of poetry
To bring others your essence to sight
I dream of my beautiful Bluebird
Almost every single night
