A Beautiful Hallows Eve
the trees smiled a hello to the October moon
round and clever, sweetly formed, and forever ready
She peeked in on them with her open heart,
giving them her best self, knowing them cosmically
they seemed less alone now, less fearful, more confident
A wolf’s howl came in softly, as if to not disturb either the moon or the trees
I was a beautiful night for Hallow’s Eve and the forest rejoiced
Honored by October moon’s heart and attention
