The enemy Discouragement Dragging victims down Crushing beliefs Smothering light Laughing Laughing At all suffering And yet- There - look closely One star in the night A sparkle of the eye A beat of the heart Leading from darkness To beautiful light From depths of anguish To gentle sunshine a glimmer of hope Beats deep within all draws from despair Making hearts swell A glorious chance To stand triumphant To smile once more.
