A Beacon Of Truth

We cannot change who we are at our core;
the only option allotted to us
is how we choose to live in the here and now.
We can meld with the darkness under a cloak of lies
or embrace God's light, a beacon of truth!
Light exposes evil,
so it flees into the shadows.
Faith re-energizes and buffs the soul;
till it shines, and others see its light in you.
Morals are a silent introspection of self
but speak volumes about the mind frame
and views of society. 
Bogeymen exist in the real world,
where they corrupt hearts and exploit love.
It isn't wrong to want to live in the moment,
or enjoy life outside the box;
but remember, evil is the nemesis of good
and evil begets evil.
The Soul is a spiritual song sung by Time,
which cannot alter its tune;
and thus, it remains in harmony with life and God.
