A Bazillion Stars
"A bazillion stars are in the sky,
Millions are trying to catch my eye,
They twinkle a wink,
For me I think
Come to me and explore,
A temptation I can’t ignore
For the stories they could tell,
I am sure they know Jesus well
In the infinity of the universe,
I am a blank verse
Smaller than nothing against these stars,
How big is this Kingdom of ours?
How many lifetimes would it take,
To visit these stars for heavens sake
Alas I only have one chance,
To soak in this great expanse
And find the answers to my questions,
And so to the stars for direction
To dream and wonder what is beyond,
And how will my heart and soul respond
To the magical mystery of why we are here,
In one life can it become clear?
Only God knows all,
And to whom we call
To help us understand what this seems,
Not beyond, but here and now means
So take comfort in the twinkling lights,
It’s an SOS message from God to make it right
Rest with him in your dreams tonight,
“For he deliver them when the time is right”
