A Band of Color
There are all kinds of rainbows
Optimistic forces to pierce a rainy day
As sun refuses damp demands of gloom
And glorious bands of color illuminate
Are we not also like the sun
Make way, murky demons that shade
I’ll not consent to cloud my point of view
A wasteland of tomorrows waits
So though my rainbow not yet gleams
And somber hesitation lingers
I’ll march through the showers
And form a band of color of my own
