A Bad Poem

I have written bad poems
Under the blue moon
Those curled toes
Blue suede shoes
In the purple rain

I want to write a bad poem
Listening to “If loving you are crime”
A poem not for you
No longer for you
In the purple rain

In the end
The end is a shame
This poem aren’t for you
I still want to get wet
In the purple rain

A night; a long time ago
Found a cassette in my jacket pocket
Listening to it one song found its mark
“Your heart is not in it” by Janie Frickie
Dry, under a roof
