~ the Carnival Ride ~
Oh probing hearts....
How you long for these things
Reaching toward the stars
Holding this golden lantern
Of desires and dreams
As if they could ever cure, or fill
These wanting's inside?
Merely to only realize, again
That they are but a fleeting, in time
Standing upon the shores, alone
Within your searching eye's
The sand's beneath your feet
Amid a world, wherein
You could never find
The void that escapes your soul
As you close it's opened doors
Gazing into the wind
While it passes you by
What are these treasures that hold?
What are these moment's....
Cast among the crowds
And never, to realize
Oh probing heart's
How your lives, and your love
Forever, pierce mine!
