I wait for his phone call then remember he was gone.
Quote  _by Poet

Gray fog ease over gnarled trees and fallen bark, obscure to rusting leaves and gentle whisper, little more than a murmur, in the darkness. Inward whirls around in my main enthralled world; this is the ambiance I breathe deep and sigh, I gasp and utter silent sounds, in stark dreams. 4/29/2021 Surprise me Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Line Gauthier

Emotive write, Eve--missing a loved one in silence of the night---breathing in loneliness. So well done!
