I sometimes wonder if you still remember me or
if I was just another memory

I will never forget that pit feeling in my stomach
the time you slipped your hand under my skirt
Or when you offered to put me up on my bike to
(only) touch the most vulnerable part of myself

I knew family meant safety buy why did I not feel that
Girls my age were running around in their skirts & dresses for the summer
while I despised it.

I felt powerless for so many years

Today, I will never let my power get taken away
