8-Word Challenge

1.Crystal 2.Gloaming 3.Frosted 4. Forevermore 5. Pathos 6. Valiant 7. Melancholy  8. Unpredictable

Word Challenge of Eight:
Reading poems of late
I found myself homing
In on the word "GLOAMING"
To the point that I felt accosted
By the poems that it FROSTED;
For me, now, "gloaming" is FOREVERMORE cliche;
While "PATHOS" tossed me for a loop with its long 'a',
Due to the UNPREDICTABLE
Pronunciation of that syllable.

By now, it should be CRYSTAL clear
This entry's not VALIANT or sincere;
There -- I've admitted my folly,
Feeling contrary to MELANCHOLY

Reading some old comments scattered about that you made to me but since I have notifications turned off, I had never seen them. I can't find something of yours I have not read. If you can think of one, let me know, dearie!!

Sorry you didn't make the list, Hannah. It's hard if they do those premiere contests with only ten winners. I can't remember which type this contest was. Let me try to find a poem of yours I have not seen. A short one. haha!!

With each poem I write, I expect it's my last, so I'm not likely to have poems you haven't seen. I'm glad you keep punching them out -- great stuff!

hahaha. This is so funny, HAnnah. Wow, did you ever enter it?? I think if I had hosted that contest, I'd have marked it high just for being so clever! (yeah, I have to be reminded about pathos, as I still pronounce it as using the path sound)

Maybe he was insulted by it. There were plenty of winners, but this didn't make the list.

oh his goodness again ... lol ... uhm ... wow hannah ... may we call you hannah ... we used these 8 words on another site with the word "of" added to it ... this is a brilliant specimen of a "poem" got love the misery in it ... to the point of a "poets" misery ... what sorrow may we find blind ... do we bind our own hands ... our hearts ... what is hidden in love ... tel me beautifully wording "poet" ... tel me please ... what line would your dare mine words to cross ... uhm ... ... awesome job.

Thank you. Even before I knew about the contest, I had been noticing "gloaming"-- a new word for me, and wondering if it's already overused.

Browsing previous contests, I noticed that many of the words were taken from the titles of the poems entered in John Hamilton's previous contest.
