Dallas beckons yonder
Bright lights and cold beer
Cowboys always wander
To things that ain't here 

Dallas collects money
From those who can't spare
Tragic becomes funny
Just from bein' there

Romance seldom follows
Trips to our Big D
Female rarely swallows
Lines from guys like me 

Success follows tryin'
Mabel is her name
Confessed constant lyin'
Loves me just the same
