7 Ways To Look At the Sky

i
I look up and see
a blinding blue blanket
of warmth
covered in puffy
white fluff,
weighing me down
to the ground
like a weight, only
it is there
for protection

ii
A miraculous thing,
the sky.
Full of wondrous mysteries,
lurking behind the corner

iii
Gray splotches cover
the sky,
growing larger
and larger
and soon
water is dripping
down my smiling face

iv
It’s like a watercolor painting
if you look at it plain

v
It’s like magic
if you really
observe it
and be patient

vi
Everything falls from it!
Geometry
Chemistry
Physics
Happiness
Warmth
Wet
Cold
Art
And I love
the sky

vii
At night
in winter
it is a lurking
black beast,
neverending and cold,
waiting to swallow me whole
