777 Oak Drive
777 White Oak Drive
I felt my hairs stand up as I drove up
whatever horrors happened here still lingered
the real estate lady named Janet introduced herself
her smile was a tiny bit too faux
I felt creeped out, as if we were being watched
analyzed, and marked for slaughter
I had never felt this threatened
and we were not inside yet
Janet took a step forward, I think I backed up
She smiled at me
her teeth seemed diabolical
something was amiss
was there an axe murderer with a knife waiting for me inside?
I offered no explanation
my teeth were chattering with dread
I turned and ran back to my car
did not wave good bye
never entering
