747

I tried to weigh your eyes
with molten glass,
to catch their depth
like rivers bending light,

    but rivers swerved,
    dissolving as they pass,
    and left me staring
    into what was infinite.

I draped a ribbon of night
along your hair;
its threads trembled,
yet could not contain

    the pulse of laughter
    drifting through the air—
    a tiny sun
    bending gravity in its vein.

I pressed a pearl
along the hollow of your wrist;
it quivered
less than your quiet touch,

    a breath escaped,
    a whisper I almost missed,
    and the universe leaned closer,
    curious, not much.

I gathered oceans, mountains, stars, and flame
to measure against the tilt of your small grin,

     and found each treasure faltered in midair,
     afraid of the subtle universe that lives within.

You move, and shadows hesitate, then bend;
a hand brushes mine,
a fleeting spark,
a sigh;

    galaxies learn to curve
    around this quiet end,
    while you hum a tune
    that stirs the sky.

All jewels, suns, and constellations pause,
yet here remains a warmth
I cannot name;

    a glance, a breath,
    a gesture in the now,
    and suddenly
    creation itself recalls your flame.

And in the hush
between your laugh and mine,

    I see worlds spin—
    untethered, playful, small;

a cosmos folded
in the hollows of your spine,

    and I, who thought to hold it,
    hold nothing at all.

Delicate Love poem, Mohit ! Excellent detailed descriptions with good cosmic imagery interwoven with nature, body & the concrete. I enjoyed the format. ThkU for sharing. Great Love your way., Ghairo.

Ah, most kind Ghairo, thy words honour me far beyond my desert. That which I set upon the page—be it the cosmos, the whispering body, or the subtle foldings of nature—lives only by the gaze of thee who beholds. Truly, beauty dwelleth not solely in the hand that writes, but in the soul that receives. I am grateful, humbly, that thou hast lent thine eyes and heart to wander with it.
