600m

I visited the village of Sky Folk
where the land rises to touch the sky
and the sky bends to kiss the land.

In this village,
the brave bird men
and the daring winged women
teach their smiling, gliding children
the secrets of the art of flight.

Actually this poem is about a hang-gliding experience in the Appalachian Mts. It's interesting to discover other interpretations. Someone else (not a souper) also thought that it sounded Native American!
