50 Trillion Years
50 Trillion Years From Now
><>
Like sand in an hour glass,
time was running out
Nothing to hang on to,
filled with fear and doubt.
Every hour gone in a second,
every day gone in a flash.
On a collision course with fate,
I knew I soon would crash.
Stop! before I hit bottom,
or is that where I need to go?
Gotta get my slate wiped clean,
this time not just for show.
Guilt has me pinned down,
my heart is trying to hide.
But it can still be heard,
behind a mountain of worthless pride.
Need to lay it all out there,
expose it nakedly.
Ain't no hidin', gotta start abidin',
this is now reality.
Will the real me step forward,
the sand has all passed through.
The time has come, where is the one,
who painted his life true?
The paint has all worn off,
exposing lie after lie.
Will the real me step forward,
it's time for him to die.
Who is this who commands,
that death pass over me?
Taking the blame for all I've done,
to save me for eternity.
Silent, as they scourge his back
and nail him to the cross.
Shedding his blood down on me,
for my sin, his life is lost.
My heart has come out of hiding,
exposing who was meant to be.
Now I will praise and love him,
for all eternity.
Yes, fifty trillion years from now,
that seems hard to comprehend.
But I will still be praising him,
eternity has no end.
And it all will be, in ecstasy,
no pain, no hate, no sorrow.
The way he meant life to be,
with never a worry of tomorrow.
