Notes About The Poem

These thoughts are dedicated to all those 500,000 who died of Covid and their families.

500000 Deaths a Memorial

If it could have been prevented, why not, that it was not? That was a lot of Human Beings that were Fathers and sons, Mothers and daughters, Brothers and sisters Children of the Nation. People who were very special to us---Gone. We of Human decent can't understand why? We may never know the answer to this question. Since we know not the answer, then we turn to the idea of where these lives matter. They matter to the world and those left behind. We seem to care so little as the count is so high. Our grief is paramount in our lives. This could have been less had the Public been given the truth. And yet here we stand, with these horrendous numbers to bear. Our Creator has taken so many to his bosom. This might be a sign, not that God is cleaning house and the world we know may be ending. However, we must believe there is fervent hope that they have gone to glory while those of us who are left must change. To what God intended: To Love one another and care for the other. For these lives have been given up for all left behind. So get in line and accept what God intended: "To love thy neighbor, as thyself."

I think one of the lines that demonstrates our love for others, is the vaccination line. I feel so bad for the USA and what a toll the virus has had on your people. People’s individual choice and cry of freedom has had a detrimental effect on your society. I pray for a spirit of kindness and consideration to blanket your people.
