4am

what I’d give to forget.
Recover only
your perfect symmetry, flesh stretched over bones,
fingers woven in and around,
the rise and fall of your chest,
simultaneous with your breath on my neck
and wondering how long could we make this last?
To stay in unison, heart beats beating,
tongue in cheek while not quite sleeping
'cause any worried or wondering words
could wash this all away.
