You soon realize that now
It’s your time to shine
You’ve always been free in your soul
Loving and giving love
You perfect the right balance 
Magical conjunction on the right place
Isen't it funny ?
You will be 40 on your next birthday

40 feels better than 50 and 70 feels better than 40. The numbers never matter, well to some they do, i can tell you some stories about the way people can act as they reach each each new tenth year of life. As always Anne-Lise, once my funning is over i do understand what your gentle words are saying. Life got so good for me after the age of forty, now each year is a great adventure. I just Love to take one day at a time. I am happy to see each year pass. A seven from me my Friend....Vladislav.

Hi Anne Lise. Forty is the infancy all the qualities that will blossom within us for the next 40, 50 or 60 years. Life is such a splendid and beautiful journey, and the best is yet to come. Very nice write, I enjoyed it. Bless you my friend.... Robert.

Enjoyed your poem, Anne Lise. Forty is a lovely age, but we do wrong to think of numbers. I find that it's best to take it a day at a time...and then what will be will be! Hugs // paul

well as a rather fresh 40 myself....who has never believed in murder or theft....I find your words quite compelling....and I Love the story they are telling....about the journey of Life as it inclines....none of us knows the future so we should make the best of our present time....I Love it anne....;)

None of my past age got to me like that of forty. It said so many things chastising, I felt the best was yet to come. You penned a short and sweet version of my musings. Recall that forty is only the beginning of budding in another spring. Thank you for stopping by with your warmth.

Forty? Just a child, dear Anne-Lise! My beard is forty-five! Haha! Beautifully expressed. The secret of age is to be happy with each added year! You see, it is the only way to stay alive!!!!

Cute one..Maybe this person will forever be 39..I saw on the TV this morning that a man who just turned 105 is still working as a barber..He said that he looked forward to going to work everyday..They asked him how would he celebrate his birthday and he said by going to work..Thanks for stopping by..Yes, my runny nose is blueberries compared to the two deaths and the injuries this morning..Sara
