It was just one line

but ingrained deep

into reality

"... the future ..."

he knew might be past

but the present he built

was built to outlast

"... time itself ..."

He took an ink pen then

from off his shelf

and I knew all at once

he'd build the sign

on a block of keys...

and not in a line

"... written in stone..."

said the tablets don't lie

but a dial on the side

of my right hand shows

"... how to skry..."

sKryptos... she knows

"... you could have believed me..."

from a long time ago.
