365 Days

Days flow like water
A trickle, then a stream
Suddenly the year is ending

Days, nights turn like a carousel
Ups, downs, stops, starts
Suddenly the year is ending

Celebration of the good
Reflection on the bad
The year is ending

Fireworks, laughter, 
resolutions, promises

Promises to savour the next 365 days
Resolution to slow the carousel

Days flow like water

Suddenly the year is ending
