25 Alive

My whole life twisted around a moment
and when that moment's not enough
lord let me not forget to die.

'Cause my whole life
I've lived with the numbing knowledge
that I would be dead before I'm 25.

Many times I have cried or I've smiled or I've laughed,
but thru it all I've never stole a soul with a lovely lie,
be that as it may, respect the blessing, tho I never asked to be alive.

I am enjoying reading up on all the poetry I can today. I am happy yours was one that I was able to read today. The weekend is here and I must also make time for my family life. I will be back on Monday as usual and I wish you a beautiful weekend filled with renewed inspiration Olin. Love, Carol

This seems so sad, but do remember to 'respect the blessing'. Philosophically, is it 'better' to know this or not.
