Oxford University Press has named "rage bait" as its Word of the Year for 2025. It refers to "internet content deliberately designed to elicit anger or outrage by being frustrating, provocative or offensive".
Rage bait is a trap. Simply a load of crap. It does not seek or aim to inform or entertain. Its purpose is to inflame and is just an online con game. So lame. What a shame.
