2000 Years

Theres a man in the streets and he,s calling out your name
Dont you know by now that it,s how you play the game

For two thousand years ,we,ve been fighting your wars
I,m here to tell you now ,i cant fight no more

You see,the preacher, the prophet , the bobby on the beat
And if i was,nt listening ,they,d soon have me to eat
So come all ye faithfull and play a song
It is,nt very much and not very long

About peace and forgiveness and all that is good
Imagine now good people, if you could
That all is forgiven,it,s a brand new day
No greed standing in your way

It,s easy to write ,yet harder to do
come now people i,m talking to you

For two thousand years we,ve been fighting your wars
I,m here to tell you now ,you dont have to fight no more.

                                                                                     chazz

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
