2,000 and Something Years Later
2,000 AND SOMETHING YEARS LATER
We still need him more than ever...
Of course his wasn't the best of times but
Things just keep getting worse and now
It’s here to you’re and mine…
Well and I just can't stand to hear the all
The children crying tonight from going
Hungry and as soon as they find a cure
For one plaque there comes forth another
Disease just can't stand to see anymore
Men and women going off to war like a
River that never seems never ending all
For the sake our right for freedom and liberty
Oh why can't we all just get along and
Keep the peace but...
2,000 AND SOMETHING YEARS LATER
We still need the new born savior more
Than ever, the man that walked and talked
The word of God, we need his perfect
Healing hands, we need his words of wisdom
His comfort and love, a miracle sent down
To us on the wings of a snow white dove...
Well I wonder how much longer we'll have
To wait until he comes back and calls us up
In the clouds with him forever but here it is
2,000 AND SOMETHING YEARS LATER
And we still need the LORD Emmanuel
More than ever, the only thing that keeps me
Going knows 2,000 AND SOMETHING
YEARS LATER someday soon he will return
And we will finally live in peace and joy
Forever, 2,000 AND SOMETHING YEARS
LATER!
