1 Corinthians 7:10-13

Walking on ground but drowning in shame
My secrets think they're hidden but I'm in plain, Sight
Prostituting my ego
Regret is the next door neighbor
And won't leave me alone
Violence isn't something I condone
But
Everyone is already throwing stones
So you mine as well kill that old self
Because they expired at the cross
Why do you feel the need to renew
What God let go of
Is your hope really in the holy ghost
Or are you still haunted by your ghosts
Jesus I know, you washed all my sins
But I still don't feel clean
My lean
Keeps falling on what I understand
My faith is crippled by guilt
I want to be closer to you than my fears
I pray my unbelief stays in your hands
Not my own, for I am not my own
Purchased by the blood
Yes true love bleeds
Don't run away from the hurt
Invite it in
Dining at the table he prepared
He is the good shepherd
Getting lost isn't rare
But impossible
So when you're drowning
Remember he walks on water
He plants life where sleep looks like death
He turns shame into flowers
Yes you can bloom in the concrete
He is the cornerstone
That rolled away the stone
The only one who could cast a stone
But he just wants to wear your thorns
So continue to work toward Godly repentance
Sorrowful without regret
No matter what he would never regret
His death for you
Therefore carry your cross
Knowing the weight isn't all on you
p.s. love cries too…
