1975 Red Devil
Still in 75 The Red Devil
Wayne was in the boot of the white holden, mine
Mildred was a driving into a drive in movie fine
The car it lurched and wobbled Kangarooed just a bit
The wheel brace kept a rising smacking into Wayne’s lip
Wayne Estelle and I were in the jolly car
Mildred was joint smoking we were cackling like Galahs
We sat in a restruant at the pub at Capalaba
Wayne dropped a ripping tearing noise it nearly cleared the bar
2 hairy Hippies in a FB Holden gave us a bit of lip (60 model holden)
So Wayne hoisted a tall one on their roof, rattled just a bit
So they came again and sideswiped Wayne’s blue Ford ute (70 ute)
At the red light Wayne flogged the passenger
While I stopped the lurching bag of fruit…(it was Kangarooing)
Wayne bought a watch at a flea market
That wasn’t any good
So we swapped it back to Barry Barker
As anybody would …
Wayne picked out a good one
Handed it 2 me 4 a quick look
My other hand gave back the bad un
dead watch back to the crook….
They still seek him here and seek him there
Always gone when they come to look
The Red Devil ain’t been caught anywhere
And they’re left holding the book….
