13 Hours

Here in the waiting room it is silent.

I start talking with my mom.

She pretends she can understand.

The voices do not get tired.

The voices can tell I’m tired.

Mom, will you ever come back for me?

Mom, I’m not even talking to you anymore!

I was talking to the voices this time.

Asking them for my memories back.

I’m sorry, I’ll be quiet again.

Here in the waiting room it is silent again.
