It was already burning before it began
We were not ready
We were not prepared
For this onslaught of emotion
I wish I could say more
I wish I could offer you more
Than just these stupid poems
I think my brain malfunctioned
I think someone I used to know hurt it
I don't comprehend, remember, recall
Reason, remind, repeat
Revert, repent, rage
Rewrite, again
Over
