Promises I haven’t kept yet
Float in day’s dusty dusk,
I tell old sun wait
Don’t set until I ask.

Memories enter year’s last night
Lie somewhere in domain unknown
My dawn new sun lights
Dreams dazzle in uplifted horizon.

Music of life I’ll hear
I promise the New Year.
