A Tribute to Mystic Rose Rose
I was idly browsing the contests when I spotted one that interested me. It was a contest by Mystic Rose Rose and called Seems Like Yesterday Poetry Contest. Immediately I thought that I could give it a try. Yet in a few moments, I felt it would not be fair to use the poem I had in mind. It was towards the end of 2015 when Mystic invited me to write a poem, a collaboration by the two of us. Mystic is a great poet. I was never much to shout about. Finally, I accepted knowing Mystic’s contribution would be more than 50%. I posted the poem on the 1st January 2016. Unfortunately, I was passing from a bad mood. I deleted my poems but kept a copy of all my poems. Eventually I began to post my poems again but left the collaborated one out. I thought I could enter that poem for the contest, but then I thought it would not be fair. However I had to give Mystic her due. So I posted the collaboration today. Mental Flowers of Our Mind To bathe with you in waters of crystal heaven where the wild geese fly and birds soar sweet; Meandering down the rickety café that stood by a cobbled-stone street of old, and there we'd share the mulling spices of aromatic wine just you and me,. Now that would be divine and utterly sublime... To journey hand in hand down the forest trail fearing not the volvarious wolf nor the tiger hoof but plodding towards our secret lake in amative destiny knowing full well at this time, it would be icy cold. Bravely we'd trod the uneven path amongst the pines, to claim the tutelage of passion and sentient love. Now that would be divine and utterly sublime... To lap the waves happily surrounded by ripples and lose ourselves in profundity and isolation by the ancient caves of paramour, the senses intoxicated by the heady wine "Petite Sirah", where it would lead us to our sweet intent. Now that would be divine and utterly sublime... Then later on, towards the end of day, as sun sets low we'd loose the mental flowers of our tired minds; We'd drag ourselves towards the old cafe imbibed in strong espresso, laced in syrup and whip-cream Outside the night with darkly shades of eglantine would hasten fast and linger on your lover's sheen Together we would claim the country side, to cozy in where dreams could live anew, and all of this, with you. Now that would be divine and utterly sublime... Oh how I wish that we could be together, once again and loose the mental flowers of our mind, and tether still; Now that would be divine and utterly sublime...
