From The Workshop Collection: Canary And Her Gold Mind
I am still Sitting here like an expendable bill With no Jill Wanting to climb the hill Where I will Be able to fill My bucket from the mill Spiked barley for me I must decree It beats that cup of tea Down at the diner Counter occupied by gullible miners Searching for fool’s gold Turning old Not even going to fold Instead, they debate and discuss Getting into such a fuss Until the company bus Picks them up promptly at nine To venture off towards the darken mine Seeing sparkles ever bright They chip away using all their might Break free lovely riches Stuffing pockets using deep pocketed britches When The sun starts to descend Around ten They all go in the same direction Released determined by their section Leaving only one Who cleaned everything up when done Needing fun Entourage came across a bar Where the single singer was the star Those fantasy diggers Loved the swanky figure Belting out tunes Enthusiasm started blowing up a balloon She monitors her tip jar Healing many emotional scars Counting patron’s gratuity money Not realizing the guys thought it would be funny Change her into a running bunny Who greyhounds summoned to chase Determining a winner, when they finished the race “What I want is expensive jewels filled with karats From you bloody ferrets Do you get that? Feed on cheese, you filthy rats” This did not go down very well Being told basically go to Shell Get some gas and snacks Think about applying social tact Next morning, scene the diner These dirty miners Showered with a new attitude Due To losing the feud Addressed the canary who was alone In a booth using a cell phone Apologized like sweet gentlemen Made a mend Before offering her something to do When her conversation was through “Would you do us a favor? All you must do is sign this waiver And travel down the railed track Search out any problems to attack You will be riding in a cart Doing your kind part Challenging that healthy heart Upon your return We have sacks of money you can burn” Accepting the adventure request Feeling like an honored guest She assisted in testing the mess Sad thing happened While the hard workers did some tapping Their boomerang never came home They say the canary disappeared finding a special rhinestone Legend now exists About Jill’s whereabout, since she was never kissed Presently I drink my beer With not any fear Knowing my Jill will be here Wearing a die men Playing Barbie dreaming of Ken Moral is if you strike it rich Ponder one thing before you get hitched Love is not in the money It's a shot of whiskey, graced with honey Here enjoy, a swig Remembering my songbird twig And the experiment we performed on those corrupt guinea pigs Who finally reported a problem Encouraging my Jill and I to hug, sending the message, ‘we got them’
