Nature Walk, Nature Talk
I was a zealous, blue patrol officer, preserving the safer public environments, As black, diamond nights come in sequence, with the glittery enlightenments. I helped to direct ephemeral traffic, serving justice and enforcing eternal law, Like moonlit streets of reddest sunset, where white lily can say what she saw. I was often seen outdoors on foot, walking beneath singing trees of my beat, Protecting the urban community, like golden yesterday time deemed obsolete. Friends were featured on fading Fridays, when the colorful town saw us again, Like lackluster, bluish-gray skies, yielding finally to beauteous rainbow refrain. Family flew in on wings of finally, to finish fantastic future plans we'd started, Like a comeback dawn of magenta haze skies, making up for when we parted. I lived in the house of avaricious, amber suddenly, with happenings all 'round, Due to a traveling red sun, moon and stars, and blossoming on green ground. Silken breezes stirred star jasmine, along sparkling saffron days on my street, For dawns and raven nights held such promise, such as pretty blue jay tweets. Neighbors were nonpareil narrators, of bygone days of nostalgic happenings, Like times we sat on starlit stairways of night, rife with dreamlike imaginings. Sun-kissed summer was saddled with sadness, when silk clouds were sobbing, But mango sunglow would ever return, like invisible, red heartbeat throbbing. Nights arrived in the glory of sunset youth, a celestial dance in orange-scarlet, But always died in pink-lilac dawn, like the beautiful falling leaves in Charlotte. One day I went on a scenic hike, when woodsy green wild places were calling; And the startling wind suddenly whispered, 'silence,' as nature began talking! Blooms on jade avenues of thrall laughed, cheering rosy sunshine of our days, As a beaming sun, itself, radiated happiness, and deep grass waved in a daze. Later, I passed a sunset lake shore, and purple waves suddenly began to roar, As the mulberry moon hit a high note, which echoed prettier than ever before! The apple green woods were still chattering, as I made my way to cozy home, And sweetest scents invited me to be returning, like love once you've roamed. Tawny birds whistled, then serenaded, like afar stars when sun was last dying, So wrapt in hot days of dialogue, for nature makes magic, without half trying!
