So, I asked the sun to go away, and leave me with a storm. She said not what I'd thought she'd say, she only kept me warm. What I thought the sun would say when the rain stared to pour, Was that she would not protect me from the cold I have in store. I should have brought a cover, I should have stayed inside, But when the rain was over, she just helped me to dry. I shouted at the sun one day that she should go away, I was filled with nighttime and had no room for her to stay. She left me like I asked her, and the darkness filled my eyes. But only for a while cuz the next day she did rise. Why won't you just leave me when I have no space for you? You're too bright and you're too warm and you and I are though. Please leave me with the darkness, leave me with no light. I don't deserve the daytime, I'm only for the night. What I thought the sun would do is try to keep me warm. I thought she'd say shed go away and see me in the morn. She left me like I asked her, and I thought she'd be back soon. She did not what I thought she'd do, instead she sent the moon.
