Redwoods stood as spiritual enclave to the indigenous people along the coast in Northern California once. The Spanish took notice to the industry of cutting them down and soon it became a place to find work for the rest of us. And it was hard for me to find my place ever since. Coastal Redwoods were named Giant Sequoia as a distinct genius by the French botanist, Decaisne in the 1850's a bit too late since logging of the Redwoods had already become widespread. Did you ever see some of the old pictures of people who logged or eventually found jobs working for vineyards nearby I started out in a cigar factory, in New York, spend all my folks money, until I reached the conclusion that rolled up cigars wouldn't float. So I went and joined with my older brothers to create a wine industry. And it was me, who ended up working for you. I worked for you after I worked to cut down the trees and if you look at some of the old photo's you might see me in one of them sitting there after a long hard day. Write about the Redwood, write about anything you can. Peace!
